Raising the bar for students through tansparency, safety and accountablilty.
My mission is to bring accountablility, higher expectations, and honest leadership to our schools so every child has the opportunity to succeed.
My journey began, when my family moved to Florida in 1980. We settled in the growing community of Port St. Lucie, where I became part of the first junior class at Port St. Lucie H.S. Those early years instilled in me a deep appreciation for community, discipline and perseverance; values that have guided me my entire life.
In 1994, I enlisted in the United Stated Marine Corps and was honored to serve in the Presidential Helicopter Squadron. My time in the elite unit taught me precision, integrity, and the highest standards of service. After completing my military service, I returned home to Port St. Lucie and worked within the St. Lucie County School District for four years. Following the devastating Hurricanes of 2004, I pursued a new path and joined the NYPD in 2005. For 14 years, I served in the world's most demanding law enforcement environments, where I developed strong skills in public safety, crisis management, and community engagement.
In 2021, I returned to my roots in Florida and began serving the City of Port St. Lucie as a Code Compliance Officer. Today, I am proud to help protect and support the community I have always called home. I currently serve as the Vice Chair of the City's Safety Review Board, contributing to initiatives that improve workplace safety and uphold professional standards. As a Certified Code Officer Safety Specialist, I draw on my experience in military service, education, law enforcement and municipal operations to foster a safe, respectful and well-maintained community.
